Booking Your Cruise


Please feel under no obligation when inquiring about booking availability.
When you have chosen the cruise you want from our Cruising Schedule please ring, or email us to check that the cruise/cabin you require is available.

Bookings will be accepted by telephone, but we must receive written confirmation within 14 days.

When we have confirmed availability, you need to send a completed booking form with your deposit to the address below:
Takara Hotel Boat , C/o 12 Lovell Close, Covingham, Swindon, SN3 5BT , England.

Cabins are booked on a first come-first served basis. 
To make a Booking:
  • Please send a deposit of £200 per person for bookings, with the balance due a minimum of 8 weeks before the start date of the cruise.
  • On Overseas bookings, the whole amount is due at the time of booking.

Booking Conditions

NOTE: In these conditions, governed and interpreted according to the rules of English Law, The Company referred to is Takara Hotel Boat.

BOOKINGS, DEPOSITS AND OUTSTANDING BALANCE
We can provisionally reserve cabins for you by telephone for up to 14 days, but booking can only be confirmed on receipt of a properly completed booking form and the appropriate deposit of non-refundable £200 per person per cruise. 

Your booking form and our acknowledgment constitute a legally binding contract between you and Takara Hotel Boat. We will be legally bound to provide the accommodation as booked. You, in turn, will be legally bound to pay the balance of the cost, which must be paid at least eight weeks before the start of the holiday.

Payments

OPERATORS RIGHT OF TERMINATION
We reserve the right to decline a booking without assigning any reason for doing so.
We reserve the right to terminate a passenger’s cruise, should the person in our opinion have placed the boat, its equipment or other passengers/crew in danger of damage or injury by ignoring safety advice or instructions of the crew.

We also reserve the right to terminate the cruise of any passenger found smoking inside the boat or who, in the opinion of the master of the boat, behaves in a manner disruptive to the other passengers.

Any refund of the price of the holiday paid would be entirely at our discretion.
We reserve the right to cancel any cruise for which there are insufficient bookings, or if due to circumstances outside our control it has become impossible to carry out the cruise. In such cases, you will, if possible, be offered alternative dates. Otherwise, any sum received from you will be returned in full, but you shall have no claim on any account against us.

Bookings may not be transferred to another seasons cruise or third party without permission of the company.

WATER RESTRICTIONS AND FORCE MAJEURE
We reserve the right to alter or amend a published cruising route (or routes) if this is made necessary by canal stoppages, water shortages, and flood or if we deem this to be in the best interests of our passengers.

We reserve the right to reallocate accommodation when, in our opinion, it is necessary to do so.

You shall have no claim on us, and no particular right of cancellation, should any re-routing be necessary. 

Whilst we make every effort to keep to the advertised timetable, we shall not be liable for any loss caused to you by delay, mechanical or electrical breakdown, failure to keep to time, or any cause whatsoever.

Should navigational difficulties prevail on the waterway, the cruise may be rescheduled to commence, divert or terminate at alternative locations or on an alternative craft in order to safeguard the holiday.

This situation will not be considered grounds for cancellation of a confirmed holiday.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT AND GUESTS PROPERTY
We shall not be liable for any loss or damage to any article or personal property belonging to you which may be sustained during the cruise or whilst the articles are upon the boat, or premises or vehicles belonging to us or our agents.

Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by our negligence, we shall not be liable for any personal injury suffered by you during the cruise or whilst upon the boat, or premises or vehicles belonging to us or our agents.

If we advise car-parking facilities, we shall not be liable for any loss or damage to your vehicle or its contents.

We are unable to arrange car parking—where we advise facilities, it is your responsibility to contact the facilities to make direct arrangements to park.

FOOD ALLERGENS
According to The Food Information Regulation, which came into force in December 2014. 

If any guest booking with us has allergies to any of the 14 allergens below (or any other not listed), we request them to inform on the booking form.

  • Lupin
  • Milk
  • Mustard
  • Nuts
  • Peanuts
  • Sesame
  • Soya
  • Sulphur Dioxide (used as a preservative of dried fruit)
  • Wheat 

HEALTH PROBLEMS
We can take no responsibility for the consequences of not being informed on the booking form regarding your dietary requirements, food dislikes or any relevant health problems or disabilities.

GENERAL
No children under 14 will be carried, except on a whole boat charter when additional booking conditions may apply.

These conditions shall operate in accordance with English Law and the parties submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Smoking is not permitted inside the boat which includes e-cigarettes.

Whilst every effort is made to ensure the accuracy of the contents of our website or brochure, we shall not be liable for any inaccuracies that may have occurred.
